Non-Photorealistic Rendering (NPR) offers a variety of challenges both in terms of creativity and programming. In the following weeks I will be researching and developing methods and shaders to implement NPR through Renderman shaders.

Some of the objectives I have set myself are:

  • To develop shaders that mimic watercolor, charcoal, pen and ink renderings.
  • To document the process of developing such shaders, resources that help achieve this objective.
  • To create as many rendered images as possible to illustrate the developed shaders.
